"Last Christmas" – Survival Pack
Ignore the mess - we're packing up and getting ready for the "Last Christmas". Sure, it's not literally the last one, but that's how it feels amidst all that's happening in the world. We're not going to complain too much, instead we’ll get busy stocking up.
This year, ICA's "art-souvenir" exhibition platform is presenting original "survival packs" - kits and gadgets that show what the artists think is needed to survive in a hypothetical apocalyptic future. These packs express the personal and collective tensions of identity and safety by showing what each of us needs to "survive".
The ICA initiative began more than 10 years ago, after the idea of Iara Boubnova. This year's curators are School4Artists #3, who have prepared a long list of participating artists. We look forward to seeing you on December 17, when you will be able to buy everything you need for one "Last Christmas"!
