The Perspirationalists, 2024
"The Perspirationalists" works with the topic of heat and sweat, elevating it from banal small talk to an inspiration for composing a manifesto. The work's characters transcend corporeality and willingly surrender to the urban heat, studying it regardless of the physical discomfort it brings. Sweating is not considered shameful or disgust-inducing but a process vital to our existence in the increasingly frequent heat. The Perspirationalists rediscover the qualities of the natural, crystalline fluid that cools our bodies and, through special devices and vessels, proudly preserve it as trophies, pure proof of the innate endurance we are capable of.
