In 1997, as part of the Erato’s Version exhibition, which examined the female point of view of the erotic, I created the performance “Hello, Girls.” Described by Maria Vassileva as “singing the praises of the kitchen – bed,” the performance consisted of a half-naked model with a bow on her behind, which stood in the center of the exhibition space and deep-fried sprat underneath a canopy. Erato’s Version was the first women’s exhibition in Bulgaria and my first project as an artist.
